UNIVAC-1


UNIVAC-1 was developed by the developers of ENIAC in 1951.

John Mauchly and J.P. Eakert developed general purpose computer known as UNIVAC-1.

 

UNIVAC stands for Universal Automatic Computer.

 

Features of UNIVAC-1

  1. UNIVAC is an electrical computer.
  2. UNIVAC contains thousands of vacuum tubes, punch cards, switches.
  3. It utilized switches to input data and get output.
